This was the first character that I took all the way through a 3D texturing pipeline and my first time using Substance Painter. I have always been a huge fan of samurai characters so I wanted to do one my self. Instead of a fully armored samurai, I went for one that has lost some of his armor and has been scarred by many battles. I rendered him in substance painter and enjoyed playing around with different light setups and backdrops in photoshop. The turnaround itself was rendered in Marmoset. He was sculpted and modeled primarily in Zbrush.
