Pestilence

The first rider of Revelation has appeared! This is one of the models that I designed for my final thesis project about the Four Horsemen.

"Then I saw and watched while the Lamb broke open the first of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures cry out in a voice like thunder, “Come forward!” To my surprise, I saw a white horse; its rider had a bow, and was given a crown. She rode forth victorious, to conquer yet again." (Rev. 6:1-2)

This rider is traditionally interpreted as the rider of Conquest. I have re-imagined this as the rider of Pestilence while also incorporating themes of pollution. I wanted her to symbolize how humanity has conquered the planet, spreading like a virus, and thereby causing the symptoms of pollution. It also helped that I was designing this rider during a global pandemic, haha!
